We love weddings and want to help you make your day special.

You can book your wedding by coming to the church on any regular service and talking to the ministry team.

Please note that from 01 August 2015 anyone wanting to get married in the Anglican Church conducted by an Anglican Priest must give a minimum notice of six to eight weeks.

Also, please note that if the Anglican Church agrees to conduct a wedding service, all the legal and spiritual preparations required by the Church need to be completed before a wedding can take place in the Anglican Centre, so give yourself enough time to plan ahead and complete the steps required for one of your biggest adventures in life with Christ.

There are rules and regulations for marriages in Qatar, and the chaplains and the Church of the Epiphany are licensed by the State of Qatar to conduct marriages, subject to the couple meeting all the requirements for getting married in Qatar.

If you have been married in a Civil Ceremony and you would like a Marriage Blessing Service in our church, we can arrange this too.

What does Christian Marriage mean?

As you look forward to your wedding day, we hope and pray that it will be a special day for you as you begin your married life together.

Christians believe that marriage is a gift from God. There is something in a public commitment of this magnitude that has a spiritual element to it and which can transform a relationship to a new and deeper level.

In the marriage service, a couple makes a public declaration of a lifelong commitment to love each other. A commitment, by its nature, is a challenge. Saying ‘I will’ to those vows obliges you to forgive and be forgiven. It will be tough at times! So marriage is a risk, but a risk worth taking. There’s plenty of evidence to show married couples are more likely to be healthy, wealthy and wise.

The Service

Wedding services are usually taken by Fr. Paul Davies. Occasionally it may be necessary to ask another local minister to take the service for you. Usually we would let you know of this no later than the night of the rehearsal.

A rehearsal is normally held a few weeks before the wedding.  This will help you prepare for the day ahead and help settle any nerves.  You will be able to go through the service together with Fr. Paul and ask any questions about what to expect.
